Beer at Mellbygatans

Mellbygatans Restaurant boasts a wide and varied selection of Swedish and international beers. With over 100 varieties, many from local breweries around Skaraborg, there’s always something exciting to discover. You can browse our full beer selection in “The Grand List of All the Beers” below.

Mellbygatans’ founder, Emil Årmarker, and our resident beer expert, Pierre Ellgren, have been collaborating on beer for over a decade. Together, they’ve built an unbeatable team of beer enthusiasts (or as some might say, beer nerds), hosting engaging events centered around beer, such as Pierre’s beer school and the summer highlight, Mellbygatans Beerfest, which you can learn more about here.

Mellbygatans also serves as the local clubhouse for the Mikkeller Running Club Skaraborg (MRC Skaraborg). The club meets for runs every other Wednesday evening and on the first Saturday of each month, capping off their workouts with a well-deserved beer or two at Mellbygatans.

Beer school with Pierre

Learn more about beer

It's time for another round of Mellbygatans’ Beer School with Pierre! Join us for five sessions where we’ll dive deep into specific types of beer. At each session, we’ll discuss the brewing process, history, and sample approximately eight varieties of the featured beer style.

Here are the planned dates and the beer types to test:

• October 2 – British/American Ale
• October 16 – Lager
• October 30 – Wheat Beer/Sour Beer
• November 13 – Belgian Ale
• November 27 – Porter/Stout

You can book all five sessions in advance or choose to attend individual ones.

Price: 395 SEK per person, per session. We start at 18:45.
